Glenda Jeanette (Mankhey) Arment passed away in Smith Center, KS on May 16, 2021, at the Smith County Memorial Hospital. She was born February 27, 1930 near Reamsville, KS, to Roy and Edna (Jones) Mankhey.
She was married for 67 years to Gene M. Arment. To this union they were blessed with 4 children, Gerry, Galen, Gwenda, Gisele.
They moved to the farm in 1953 where they raised their children and farmed together. Glenda started working in town as a nurse's aide at Dick's Nursing Home. She and Gene were always available to help take care of grand-kids or do whatever they could do to help their family.
Glenda was always crocheting, counted cross stitching or making quilts. She loved getting together with the ladies at the Christian Church and quilt on Tuesday afternoons. She would never sit down without having hand work of some kind.
She loved having her family together and if there was a meal you could always count on there being pie for dessert! You could almost want a whole pie for yourself. She made sure that she had your favorite kind of pie!! If it wasn't there she made sure it was there the next time.
